This course is delivered in partnership with the University of Glasgow and provides you with the essential practical laboratory skills and theoretical knowledge required within the health and industrial sectors.

Content includes:
Biology; Microbiology; Biochemistry; Chemistry; Mathematics and statistics; Laboratory skills.

Entry Requirements

Higher Biology or Human Biology and Chemistry plus National 5 English and Maths at A or B; or Foundation Apprenticeship in Science at SCQF Level 6; or relevant NC or NQ. Interview.

Progression Routes

You may apply for 2nd year entry to the HND Applied Biological Science (Biomedical Route) or HND Industrial Biotechnology.

You may gain 1st or 2nd year entry to a range of science and biomedical degree programmes at Glasgow Caledonian University, University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde, and University of the West of Scotland, or the Open University. Employment in related industry.
