This course will strengthen your existing knowledge through in–depth study of a variety of key scientific areas centred on organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemistry and areas of physics including mechanics, light and optics, electronics, quantum physics and dynamic phenomena. You will also receive extensive training in computer coding which is an essential tool of modern physics research. On this programme you will undertake a major laboratory–based project in chemistry or physics which will provide the opportunity to further enhance practical skills and innovation, project management and presentation.
Higher Chemistry and Physics; or Higher Chemistry or Physics and the other at National 5 (Foundation Apprenticeship may be accepted in place of 1 Higher). Maths required at National 5 at B; or NC Applied Sciences (Level 6).
