This is a wide-ranging course covering the theoretical and practical aspects of modern sciences. You will specialise in two of the major branches of science – chemistry and biology.

This will provide the opportunity to further enhance practical skills and innovation, project management and presentation. These aspects will prove of great value as you progress to further study or employment.

Course includes:
Organic, Inorganic & Physical Chemistry; Biology & Biochemistry; Physiology, Microbiology & Analytical Science; Chemistry; Biology Instrumental Analysis; Opportunity to specialise in particular aspects, for example in either human metabolism or advanced organic chemistry; Undertake a major laboratory-based project in chemistry or biology.

Entry Requirements

Higher Biology (or Human Biology) and Chemistry plus National 5 Maths; or Higher Biology or Chemistry and the other at National 5 at B plus National 5 Maths; or NC Applied Science (Level 6).
