Content

One third of your time at Levels 1 and 2 is devoted to Mathematics, one third to your joint subject and one third to another subject of your choice. Mathematics modules at Level 1 will cover calculus, algebra, geometry and trigonometry. Two level 2 modules extend topics in calculus and linear algebra, and another pair of modules will give you an introduction to a range of topics in Applied Mathematics.

For a Joint Honours degree with Mathematics you will take four Mathematics modules in Level 3 including linear algebra, differential equations, and mathematical methods. In Level 4 Joint Honours students take any two out of a choice of five Mathematics modules covering topics such as mathematical biology, numerical analysis, optimisation and approximation theory.
