This course provides you with a broad understanding of biological sciences including biomedical sciences, microbiology, animal and marine biology and immunology. The Biological Sciences degree allows tailored learning to your individual interests. There will therefore be some aspects that are similar to the other degree structures, but allowing flexibility.

You’ll develop biological skills relevant to your chosen area, such as good laboratory practice, competence in microbiological techniques and field surveying.

2025 entry requirements

Standard entry:
4 Highers at BBBB including Biology (or Human Biology), Chemistry or Physics.

Widening access entry:
4 Highers at BBCC including Biology (or Human Biology), Chemistry or Physics.

Entry to year 2 requires Advanced Highers at BCC including Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
