Year 1: introduction to key areas in business technology, managerial and operational issues in conjunction with analytical tools to support associated decision-making.

Years 2 and 3: further develop expertise in modelling and analysis to support problem-solving and decision-making; learn the fundamentals of operations management and how information systems are used to enhance key business processes.

Year 4: carry out a major project for an industry or university client; you take a core class which focuses on analysis and technology in practice and choose from optional classes such as Contemporary Business Technology, Business Analytics Using Data Mining, Project Management, Risk Analysis and Management.

2025 entry requirements

Standard entry:
4 or 5 Highers at AAAA or AAABB (first sitting) or 6 Highers at AAAABB (two sittings) including English plus Maths or Applications of Maths at National 5 at B.

Widening access entry:
4 Highers at ABBB (first sitting) or 5 Highers at AABBB (two sittings) including English plus Maths or Applications of Maths at National 5 at B.

A Foundation Apprenticeship is accepted in place of a non-essential Higher.
