This is an excellent science course which prepares you to progress further in a science career. It is designed to allow you to progress in Further Education, onto HND: Applied Biological Sciences at Fife College, or to a university degree.

Laboratory skills for the science industry; Fundamental chemistry: An Introduction; Fundamental Chemistry: Theory & Laboratory Skills; Biochemistry Theory & Laboratory Skills; Quality And Health And Safety Systems In Science Industries; Cell biology Theory & Laboratory Skills; DNA and Genetics; Microbiology Theory & Laboratory Skills; Personal Development Planning; Graded Unit 1.

Entry Requirements

Higher Biology/Human Biology or Chemistry plus 4 subjects at National 5 including Maths, Biology and Chemistry; or Foundation Apprenticeship Scientific Technologies (Laboratory Skills) plus 4 subjects at National 5 including Maths, Biology and Chemistry; or Foundation Apprenticeship Food and Drink Technologies plus 1 Higher in a science subject plus National 5 Maths; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
