North East Scotland College has three main campuses: City, Altens and Fraserburgh.
A fourth campus, Aberdeen Clinterty, is used exclusively as the ASET International Oil and Gas Training Academy and Engineering Training Centre. There is also the Scottish Maritime Academy at Peterhead.
There are two community learning centres at Ellon and Inverurie.
The college teaches over 500 courses to around 21,000 students.
Courses and subjects
The college runs courses leading to a range of qualifications including NC, SVQ, HNC, HND, as well as a range of professional qualifications.
Courses are taught in a wide range of subject areas: Art, Design & Photography; Automotive; Business & Management; Care; Computing; Construction; Engineering; English & Languages; Hair, Beauty & Complementary Therapies; Maritime; Media, Communication & TV; Music, Sound Production & Drama; Professional Cookery, Hospitality & Events Management; Science; Social Sciences; Sport, Fitness & Uniformed Services; and Travel & Tourism.
Facilities and services
Specialist training facilities include The Salon at the Fraserburgh campus and the in:tuition salon at Aberdeen City. There are also three training restaurants, TV, radio and recording studios, a drama theatre and an automotive, construction and engineering centre. The City Campus also has the Digital Skills Space. Fitness facilities are available at the three main campuses.
Student support and guidance is available throughout the college.
Specialisms
The Scottish Maritime Academy at Peterhead is a nautical centre of excellence, providing specialist fishing and Merchant Navy courses.
