Year 3:
Maths 3; Signal Acquisition, Instrumentation and Control; Environmental Engineering; Project Management, Team Working and Leadership; Engineering Analysis 1; Industrial Plant; Renewable Energy Systems; Group Project.

YEAR 3 (MEng fast-track only)
Pre-Project Industrial Placement, Socially Responsible Management, Principles of Asset Management.

Year 4:
Engineering Analysis 2; Failure Analysis; Safety, Risk and Reliability Management; Systems Engineering; Plant Performance; Control and Instrumentation; Individual Project.

MEng Fast-Track only – Engineering Analysis 3; Quality Management for Engineers; Post-Project Industrial Placement (double module).

Year 5:
Principles of Asset Management; Socially Responsible Management; Advanced Thermofluids; Quality Improvement and Statistical Process Control; Engineering Analysis 3; Materials and Corrosion Science; MEng Group Project.

The MEng can be completed as a fast track 4 year course.

Standard entry:
4 Highers at BBBC including Maths and Engineering Science, Physics or another technological subject plus English at National 5 (if not held at Higher).

Widening access entry:
4 Highers at CCCC including Maths and Engineering Science, Physics or another technological subject plus English at National 5 (if not held at Higher).
