The course is designed to enable you to gain employment in the Electrical Engineering Industry and Electrical supply sector which deals with the production, transmission, distribution and application of electricity and the manufacture, installation, design and maintenance of electrical equipment.

Content includes:

Electrical Safety; DC and AC Principles; Electrical Machine Principle; Mathematics for Engineers Units 1 and 2; Three Phase Systems; Electricity Power Systems; Electrical Installation Skills.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including Maths and preferably Physics, or NC Electrical Engineering (Level 6), or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
