On this HND Electrical Engineering year 2 course, you'll expand on the electrical principles covered in the HNC Electrical Engineering. During the course, you'll be taught by staff with significant industry experience to develop your skills in a range of theory and practical disciplines.

The course is designed to enable you to gain employment in the Electrical Engineering Industry and Electrical supply sector which deals with the production, transmission, distribution and application of electricity and the manufacture, installation, design and maintenance of electrical equipment or you can apply for third year of a degree program.

Some of the subjects you will study:

Electrical Motor Drives; Electrical Installation Design; Power Electronics; Electrical Switchgear and Protection; Graded Unit 2 Electrical Engineering; Engineering Mathematics 3 and 4.
