This course will prepare you for Visual Communication roles that require creativity, conceptual thinking, critical analysis, and planning and reflection skills.

You will experience industry-standard approaches and technology to develop solutions to client commissions for a diverse range of promotion, advertising, packaging and illustration by visually communicating ideas for client purposes. You will build a portfolio of work to make decisions for progression to university or employment.

You will study:
Graphic design; Typography; Experimental illustration; Sustainable design; Social media; Advanced software design skills; Developmental drawing; 2D animation; Client project; Packaging design; Book cover illustration; Event promotion and advertising design.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including Art and Design, English preferred, or Visual Communication Portfolio Building (Graphic Design & Illustration) (Level 6), or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
