The HNC Engineering programme forms part of the suite of Next Generation of HN qualifications currently being developed by SQA. The course will provide you will the opportunity to undertake units in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering with the following topics covered in the course:

General Engineering:
Engineering Mathematics; Engineering Principles; Project Management; Team Working; Practical Engineering Skills.

Electrical Engineering:
DC Principles; Single Phase AC Principles; Three Phase Principles; Electrostatics and Electromagnetics; Electrical Power Systems; Electrical Motors; Electrical Machine Theory.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths and English, Physics or a technological subject; or Foundation Apprenticeship Engineering; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
