This course has been designed to allow candidates to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills in engineering processes, for those seeking employment at craft level in the mechanical engineering industry.

Units include:
Engineering: Using Information Technology; Health and Safety: Engineering; Graphical Engineering Communication; Computer Aided Draughting (CAD) for Engineers; Mechanical Engineering Principles; Pneumatics and Hydraulics; Power Dries; Engineering imenstion Control; Engineering Materials; Engineering Workshop Skills; Material Removal Practice: Turning; Applied Mathematics Skills; Communication (Intermediate 2); Problem Solving; Working with Others; Numeracy (Intermediate 2); Mathematics (Craft 1).

Entry Requirements

National 4 English; Maths or Physics and a technological subject. Interview.
