The BEng (Hons) Aircraft Engineering course is an exciting degree that will equip you with an in-depth engineering knowledge across a broad range of modern aeronautical technologies.

If you have decided on an exhilarating career as an aircraft engineer, this course will provide the knowledge and skills you need to analyse complex aircraft engineering situations and solve aeronautical engineering problems. The degree offers two pathways which can lead to a career in air transport operations or aircraft design.

Successful completion of the BEng degree meets the educational requirements of an Incorporated Engineer.

Entry Requirements

3 Highers at BBC including Maths at B plus English and Physics at National 5; or Foundation Apprenticeship Engineering plus Higher Maths.

Advanced entry to year to may be possible with 3 Advanced Highers at BBC including Maths and Physics plus English at National 5.

You will also undertake a period of preparatory tuition which may take the form of a pre-course summer school, or run alongside your year 2 studies.
