The BSc (Hons) Combined Studies provides you the unique opportunity to design your own bespoke degree, depending on your specific interests and career aspirations. The programme provides flexibility and a fully customisable experience, allowing you to create a bespoke, academically ambitious degree based upon your individual interests, strengths, and career ambitions.

The multidisciplinary approach of the programme means that you’ll gain a flexible and versatile skillset of transferable and practical skills and knowledge, to set you up for life after graduation. Due to the breadth of learning, students studying combined studies outperformed students on the discipline-specific undergraduate degrees on pass rate, graduate outcomes, and level of degree classification.

The subjects available for BSc Combined Studies at the Edinburgh Campus are: Actuarial Science; Biological Sciences; Building Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Chemistry; Civil Engineering; Computer Science; Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Information Systems; Mathematics; Mechanical Engineering; Physics; Statistics.

You can also combine the above subjects with one of the following: Accountancy and Finance; Economics; Languages; Management.

Entry Requirements

2027 entry requirements:
4 Highers AABB (Standard entry) or BBBC (Widening access entry) including Maths at B and a science subject or a language when chosen plus English at National 5.

For entry to year 2 you require Advanced Higher Maths and a science subject at AB or BA plus above. (2nd year entry not available for language option)
