This National Certificate course is designed for anyone who wants to work as an agricultural engineer.

Over the duration of the 33 weeks, you will enjoy a challenging and innovative course.

This is a challenging course where you will need to prove a high level of determination, motivation and a drive to succeed from beginning to end. At times you will be required to work as a team and at others, completely independently. You will be expected to work to deadlines like those you will face in the industry. You will work along with a teaching team that is hugely experienced in their field, all coming from an industry background.

This course has been proven as a successful stepping stone for trainee engineers and apprenticeships in this key industry, or progression onto other courses provided by SRUC.

Content includes: Electrics: An Introduction; Engine Technology; Mechanical Transmission Systems; Hydraulic Systems; Crop Harvesting Machinery.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 5 and 2 at National 4 including English and Maths or NC Land-based Engineering: An Introduction. Applicants must be aged 16 or over.
