This course is designed for those interested in pursuing a career in the electrical engineering industry. During the course, you will gain a broad understanding of electrical engineering including an introduction to Electrical Principles, Electrical Installation Fundamentals, Mathematics, IT and Electrical Hand Skills.

The units you will study are designed to support your progression to further studies in this area. This course can also lead to our Electrical Engineering NC Higher, which can lead to our Electrical Engineering HNC. This course can also prepare you for an apprenticeship in installation or maintenance.

Please note: This is a college-devised course and does not lead to a qualification.

Content includes:

Introduction to Electrical Principles; Introduction to Fundamental Electrical Systems; Introduction to Electrical Wiring Skills; Introduction to Electrical Testing and Measurement; Electrical Health and Safety; Digital Electronics; Mathematics; Intro to Engineering: Using IT; Introductory Soldering and Circuit Assembly.
