This is a varied course in electrical engineering, mostly consisting of academic study with some practical work using simulation software. It provides you with a blend of learning which can lead to job opportunities within large and small companies alike, in industries such as the oil and gas sector, renewable energy industry, power companies and aeronautics.

You will study:
Electrical principles; Fundamental electrical systems; Electrical testing and measurement; Electrical wiring skills; Electrical plant safety maintenance; Fundamental electronics; Circuit element devices; Installation of PVC sheathed wiring systems; Installation of trunking systems; Engineering project.

Entry Requirements

National 5 English, Maths and a science or technological subject; or NC Electrical Engineering (Level 6).
