The two-year Wind Turbine Technician Scholarship will create a pipeline of young talent with the knowledge and technical skills required for onshore and offshore roles. Learners will get a grounding in core engineering knowledge and skills as well as an understanding of the new technologies essential to the successful delivery of net zero, and a foundation in the new in-demand digital skills.

Skills and knowledge training for five days a week over two academic years; ECITB Digital Passport; ECITB Diploma in two disciplines; NC SCQF Level 6 in Engineering; ECITB Mechanical Joint Integrity Training; Wind Turbine Specific Training and Certification; A Health and Safety Passport (CCNSG) and Behavioural Based Safety training; Interaction with ECI employers; £100 a week learner allowance during term time.

Maths at National 5 A or B; or NC Engineering (Level 5)

Progression Routes

This course will prepare you for progression into the renewable energy industry.
