This National Progression Award (NPA) in Engineering at SCQF level 5 is suitable for you considering employment within the Engineering and Shipbuilding sector and will equip them with the knowledge, skills and experiences employers want to see.

Units studied include:
Mandatory units Engineering Work-based Challenge; Understanding Industry; Mathematics: Craft 1;
Another 5 units including Fabrication, Welding and Project activities.

Entry Requirements

National 4 Maths, Physics, SfW Engineering Skills or a technological subject preferred, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4 preferred. Interview and skills test.

Progression Routes

Relevant courses at SCQF Level 6 or entry to a Modern Apprenticeship.
