The HNC Mechanical Engineering course content covers a very broad range of key engineering disciplines which will support anyone undertaking an apprenticeship or hoping to progress to further study or university.

Thermofluids; Statics and strength of materials; Dynamics; Engineering drawing; Engineering principles; Material selection; CAD for engineers; Communication: Practical skills; ; Engineering mathematics 1; Pneumatics and hydraulics; Quality management: An introduction; Mechanical engineering: Graded Unit 1 examination; IT software applications; Engineering mathematics 2.
Higher Maths or Physics, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
