Aimed at all ages, including school leavers and those returning to education, the SVQ provides you with highly practical, vocational training.

The SVQ Level 2 PEO qualification forms a mandatory part of an engineering Modern Apprenticeship.

At Aberdeen Altens
The primary focus of this qualification is to provide practical, vocational-based training in:
Wiring and testing electrical circuits and programmable controller systems; Maintenance of electrical equipment systems; Electronic assembly and testing; Mathematics project.

At Fraserburgh
The primary focus of this qualification is to provide practical, vocational-based training in:
Electrical installation (BS 7671 standards); Electrical equipment maintenance; General electrical and electronic applications; Programmable logic controllers – inclusive of basic automation; Producing engineering drawings using Computer Aided Drawing (CAD).

Entry Requirements

National 4 Maths. Interview and aptitude test.
