Alongside the HNC Electrical Engineering course, you will have the opportunity to study advanced units in mathematics.
You will study: DC and AC principles; Electrical machine principles; Three phase systems; Electricity power systems; Electrical networks; Programmable logic controllers (PLCs); Electrical testing; Engineering Maths 1 and 2; Communications practical skills; Combinational logic; Fundamentals of control systems; Graded unit.
Higher Maths plus 1 from Engineering Science or Physics; or Foundation Apprenticeship Engineering; or NC Electrical Engineering (Level 6); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
