Glenrothes (Stenton) Campus
This is a varied course in electrical engineering, mostly consisting of academic study with some practical work and the use of simulation software. It provides you with a blend of learning which can lead to engineering job opportunities within large and small companies across a wide range of sectors, including electrical service companies, oil and gas, renewable energy, and power companies.
You will study: Electrical principles; Electrical measurement and testing; Circuit element principles; Single phase and three phase principles; Fundamental electrical systems; Electrostatics and electromagnetics; The Core Skills of ICT, numeracy and communication will be developed and certificated on this course.
3 subjects at National 5 including Maths and Physics or a technological subject; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
