Content

This course provides learners with a broad range of integrated competencies across electrical engineering disciplines. The course is based on a systems approach and will provide a thorough understanding of the relevant electrical and electronic knowledge to progress to a higher level. The award consists of three mandatory and nine optional units.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths, Physics or a technological subject and 3 subjects at National 5 including English, Maths and Physics or a technological subject, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.

Progression Routes

Progression onto a higher level engineering-specific course and/or employment in electrical installations/renewables/energy industries with the opportunity to study part time up to degree level.
