Looking to become a technician or technical engineer?

This course will develop your theoretical and practical knowledge of the electrical engineering industry, as well as helping with the specific skills you'll need to succeed. You'll be taught by staff with significant engineering experience and a proven track record of bringing out the best in their students. Throughout the year, you'll be continually assessed and you'll have the ability to discuss your evaluation of modules. You will be asked to carry out practical electrical workshop work where you will be asked to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Some of the units you will study:

Electrical principles; Electrical wiring skills; Fundamental electrical systems; Electrical test and measurement; Mathematics; Earthing systems; Practical electronics; and Installation of conduit systems.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 4 including Maths (Applications of Maths is not accepted) and a science subject. Interview.
