In Year 1 you will study a range of business subjects, providing you with a foundation in business before specialising in later years. In addition, you will take a module on Academic Skills.

The final module in Year 1 is the Management Development Programme, which you will also take in Years 2 and 3. This connecting module brings together learning from your other subjects to work on real business problems in student project teams.

In Year 2 you will choose three subjects from the list below, before focussing on two subjects in Year 3. You will then specialise in Single or Joint Honours in Year 4.

You will also undertake an Honours dissertation.

Subject combinations: Accounting; Business Analysis and Technology; Business Enterprise; Economics; Hospitality and Tourism Management; Human Resource Management; Marketing.

2024 entry requirements

Standard entry:
4 or 5 Highers at AAAA or AAABB (first sitting) or 6 or 7 Highers at AAAABB (two sittings) including English plus Maths or Applications of Maths at National 5 at B or AAAABBB for Accounting including English at B and Maths at A.

Widening access entry:
4 Highers at ABBB (first sitting) including English and National 5 at B or AABB for Accounting including English at B and Maths at A or 5 or 6 Highers at AABBB (two sittings) including English plus Maths or Applications of Maths at National 5 at B or AAABBB for Accounting including English at B and Maths at A.

A Foundation Apprenticeship is accepted in place of a non-essential Higher.
