Please note that there are four options for studying the SVQ Performing Engineering Operations at SCQF Level 5: Mechanical (incorporating Manufacture, Maintenance, Fabrication and Welding) course. In addition to this course, the following options exist:

SVQ Performing Engineering Operations at SCQF Level 5: Mechanical (Manufacture - Fraserburgh Campus)
SVQ Performing Engineering Operations at SCQF Level 5: Mechanical (General Mechanical - Aberdeen Altens Campus)

The course delivered at the Altens Campus provides a taste of all disciplines, whereas the courses delivered at Fraserburgh Campus offer the opportunity to follow a more specific programme.

You will focus on practical work such as mechanical maintenance, MIG welding, fabrication and fitting, whilst also focusing on vital aspects of working in the industry, such as health and safety.
