Gain skills in: using technical information like engineering drawings; working effectively in an engineering post; developing core skills for employment, such as teamwork; Computer Aided Draughting (CAD).
This course equips you with technical knowledge but also with transferable skills crucial for success in life, learning and work.
Content:
hand fitting techniques for component production; mechanical assembly processes; working with composites and producing composite mouldings; aircraft detail fitting activities and assembly production; installation of various aircraft mechanical fasteners; and essential, transferable skills for employment.
3 subjects at National 4, preferably English, Maths and Physics, Practical Metalworking or Practical Woodworking, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Entry subject to interview.
You could progress to a Level 6 course in Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
