Content

On this course you’ll gain a large amount of practical experience in electrical engineering in our well-equipped and modern facilities. You will be introduced to the fundamental areas of electrical principles, wiring, testing, and measurement while also covering hand skills required in electrical engineering.

You will study: Electrical principles; Fundamental electrical systems; Electrical testing and measurement; Electrical wiring skills; Electrical plant safety maintenance; Fundamental electronics; Circuit element devices; Installation of PVC sheathed wiring systems; Installation of trunking systems; Engineering project.

The Core Skills of ICT, numeracy and communication will be developed and certificated on this course.

Entry Requirements

National 4 English, Maths and a science or technological subject; or Certificate: Introduction to Engineering and Technology EAL Level 1. Interview. Aptitude Test.
