The Shell Engineering Scheme (SES) is a prestigious fast-track course, designed by Shell in conjunction with NESCol to meet the up and coming needs of the energy industry.

Students who are accepted onto the SES will study 5 days a week over 2 academic years at Fraserburgh Campus. Courses include: Performing Engineering Operations Level 2 – Electrical (SCQF Level 5); HNC Electrical Engineering, HNC Measurement and Control plus Employment Integration Skills. You will also work towards an Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) qualification.

The content of the course reflects the needs of industry and may be subject to some variation. Students who successfully complete this programme are well placed to enter employment or to progress into university.
The closing date for applications is Thursday 9th May 2019. Applications received after this date will not be processed.

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths and English or a science or technological subject at B or above; or NC Mechanical Engineering. Applicants must have good interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic.

Please note that students will be required to organise their own transport to the work placements.

Progression Routes

Completion of the Shell Engineering Scheme may give entry straight into year 2 of selected engineering degrees routes.
