This course is suitable for learners who wish to develop their skills and knowledge to progress their career within a range of engineering sectors including aviation; defence; medical engineering; manufacturing; and the automotive industry. Subjects covered include Maths; Communications; Dynamics; Thermofluids; Computer Aided Draughting; Materials; Pneumatics and Hydraulics.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including Maths. English, Physics and a technological subject preferred. Mature applicants without formal qualifications may be considered on the basis of practical experience.

Progression Routes

HNC Mechanical Engineering or employment opportunities in the engineering/renewable/energy industries with the opportunity to study up to degree level.
