This course provides you with the knowledge and skills required to work in a modern office environment and gain some specialist units which would allow you to work in a medical administrative role. You can also progress to an HND course in a related area.

Modules: IT (word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation, email, internet); Audio; Medical terminology; Medical reception and records; Work experience (subject to availability); Business documents; Communication; Administrative practices.

Assessment will be continuous, with a mix of practical and theoretical assessments.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English. Applications are invited from those without formal qualification but have relevant work/life experience. An interview is part of the selection process.

Progression Routes

NQ Administration and IT (Level 6); HNC Administration and IT with PDA Medical Administration; HND Administration and IT.
