Biomedical Engineering combines engineering principles with medical and biological sciences to design and create equipment, devices, computer systems, and software used in healthcare.

This course offers taught core components and intensive research training. You will learn to solve a variety of engineering challenges in the medical field. You will also learn about the operating environments where these technologies are expected to function.

2025 entry requirements:
4 Highers at AABB (BBBC for widening access entry) including Maths and Engineering Science or Physics.

Advanced entry to 2nd year available with Advanced Higher Maths and Engineering Science or Physics at AB or BA plus Highers at AB.
