The HNC Computer Aided Draughting and Design at New College Lanarkshire is recognised as one of the UK’s leading CAD courses. The college is an Autodesk Academic Partner (The world’s Largest CAD software developer) with staff members being accredited with Autodesk Instructor status.

This course focuses on the development of advanced knowledge and skills in a range of software including Autodesk Inventor, 3DS Max, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft packages. Our staff within the department are experts in the use of CAD, design, manufacturing and construction. Throughout your HND you will work with and learn the latest industry practices, preparing you to advance your studies or go out to industry.

Developed to meet the needs of industry to enhance your existing qualifications and skills in design or a related area. This course will give you the technical skills that focus on engineering and product design. The course integrates key knowledge in manufacturing, fabrication and product development using a range of modern industrial techniques of 3D printing, 3D Scanning and using a Cloud-Based CAD technology.
