This course is designed for the study of electrical and electronic engineering and enables progression to higher levels of study.

Content includes:
Engineering: Applying Information Technology; Electrical Testing and Measurement; Electrical Plant Maintenance; Single and Three Phase Induction Motors; Fundamental Electrical Systems; Maths: Technician 1; Fundamental Electronics; Engineering Project; Electrical Principles; Electronic Network Analysis; Installation of AC Induction Motors; Electrostatics and Electromagnetics; Single Phase and Three Phase Principles; Combinational Logic; Communication.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 including Maths and a science or technological subject; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Selection by 2 stage interview.
