Throughout the course, you will gain knowledge of the challenges and current thinking in business and, in particular, the challenges of decision making and of managing people effectively in organisations. You will develop your skills in managing your own performance and that of others.

Year 1:
Managing people and organisations; Economics; Marketing; Business Accounting; Information Technology: Applications Software; Business Communication; Business: Graded Unit 1; Economics 2: The World Economy; Customer Care; HRM: Core activities.

The Core Skills of ICT, numeracy and communication will be developed and certificated on this course

Year 2:
Business Culture and Strategy; Behavioural Skills for Business; ICT in Business; Business Contractual Relationships; Preparing Financial Forecasts; Statistics for Business; Business: Graded Unit 2; Research Skills; Supply Chain: Business Strategy; Business Law; Leadership at Work; Economics 1: Micro and Macro.

Entry Requirements

2 relevant Highers and 4 subjects at National 5; or Business Enterprise - Advanced Certificate; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
