This course is for anyone wanting to pursue a career in engineering at technician or engineer level. The course offers students the chance to study engineering subjects from various disciplines, and to explore environmental issues including renewable energy.

The course includes:

Electrical engineering; Mechanical engineering; Complete system engineering; Health and safety; Renewable energy system engineering.

Entry Requirements

2 relevant Highers, or relevant Foundation Apprenticeship, or NQ Electrical Engineering (Level 6); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Entry by interview and aptitude test.

Progression Routes

Employment in electrical engineering field or progression to university. Those progressing on to university can work in design, research and development and the management of electrical systems.
