Electrical Engineering (Level 6)

This is a course that provides a stepping-stone between electrical engineering level 5 and level 7 in that it introduces more of the theory behind the circuits built at level 5 and the in-depth knowledge needed at HNC. Covering AC and DC systems, three-phase systems, electrical machines, complex circuit analysis and mathematics the course provides an excellent foundation for anyone wishing to study electrical engineering at a higher level.

Entry Requirements

Maths at National 5 and 2 other relevant subjects. Selection is by interview and a short practical test.

Progression Routes

Successful applicants can move onto an apprenticeship or to higher education with the aim of becoming an electrical engineer
