Content:

four main wind turbine systems; study components; operation and maintenance of wind turbine systems; carry out basic maintenance activities on electrical equipment systems; develop practical skills in wiring and testing electrical equipment and circuits; master Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs); and explore Health and Safety legislation as practised in the workplace.

Entry Requirements

5 subjects at National 5 including Maths and Physics, and preferably English and Design and Manufacture, or Electrical Engineering and Renewables (Pre-Apprenticeship) (Level 5); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview. Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
