This course offers you a dual qualification - the City and Guilds Diploma in Power Engineering, and Performing Engineering Operations at NVQ Level 2.

It will give you a good all-round introduction to engineering, as well as focusing specifically on wind turbine technology. It’s part theory, part practical, and throughout the year you’ll have regular opportunities to work on a live site at Hunterston B Power Station in West Kilbride.

Entry Requirements

5 subjects at National 5 including Maths and Physics, English and Design and Manufacture are preferred, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview. Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
