This course covers all the knowledge needed to understand Electrical and Electronic Engineering but also has a strong emphasis on practical skills and is intended for those interested in developing skills for a well paid career in this exciting industry.

You will study:
Electrical theory, plus hands on hardware and software work.

Electrical and Electronic Theory:
Electrical Principles; Power Systems; Mathematics; Communications; Electrical Safety; Electrical Machines and Plant Maintenance.

Practical hands on work:
Software Programming; Electrical Testing and Measurement; Electrical Wiring Skills; Fundamental Electronics; Electronic Soldering and Circuit Assembly; Build an Engineering Project.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 4 including Maths and a science subject, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4.
