Forth Valley College has three main campuses, based at Falkirk, Alloa and Stirling, and a community college campus, which is based in the Raploch area of Stirling. There are also a number of outreach centres across the region.
There are over 14,000 students per academic session, of which 94% go on to further education, study or employment.
Courses and Subjects
The college offers more than 750 full time, part time and distance learning courses in further and higher education, ranging from National Qualification (NQ) to degree level.
Subject areas include: Access and Progression; Applied Science, Maths and Mechanical Engineering; Business; Care, Health and Sport; Construction; Creative Industries; Electrical, Instrumentation and Chemical Engineering; and Hospitality and Salon Services.
Facilities and Services
Resources available at the campuses include Access and Student Support Teams, Learning Resource Centres, a counselling service, computer clinic and the Student Association.
There is also the Gallery Training Restaurant (Stirling campus), the Bistro (Raploch campus), hair and beauty salons (Alloa, Falkirk and Raploch campuses) and fully equipped fitness suites (all campuses except Raploch).
Specialisms
The college has strong links with petrochemical and chemical companies based in the Falkirk area and offer courses in engineering, chemical process technology and petrochemical operations. £1.2 million of investment has been put into state-of-the-art oil and gas facilities.
