Moray College UHI is a partner college of the University of the Highlands and Islands. It has two main sites in Elgin and a number of local learning centres located in Buckie, Elgin, Forres, Keith and Nairn. It provides full time, part time and flexible learning opportunities to around 6,000 students.
The college is also home to ‘Moray School of Art’, one of Scotland’s five art schools.
Courses and Subjects
Courses are available at all levels, from introductory to degree and postgraduate. There is also a range of vocational and industry qualifications.
Subject areas include: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; Business; Computing and IT; Education and Child Care; Energy, Engineering and Construction; Health, Wellbeing and Personal Care; Hospitality, Tourism and Sport; and Science and Environment.
Facilities and Services
State-of-the-art training facilities for students include a technology centre, with numerous workshops and laboratories for different engineering disciplines, the administration training suite and the hairdressing, beauty and complementary therapy salons.
Study support staff are based at the centre to help with a range of issues.
Moray School of Art is unique in that it is the only semi-rural located art school in Scotland, providing ideal inspiration for students in this subject area. Due to a special partnership with Taigh Chearsabhagh Museum and Arts Centre, fine art students can complete part of their degree on the Uists and part by distance learning.
