South Lanarkshire College is situated in the Scottish Enterprise Technology Park in East Kilbride, at a custom built state-of-the-art campus.
In addition to the wide range of learning opportunities available on campus, the college also works with community groups, voluntary organisations and other agencies to provide a variety of community based courses throughout Lanarkshire.
Courses and subjects
The levels of courses taught include National Certificates (NCs), Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs), Higher National Certificates (HNCs) and Diplomas (HNDs), and more recently, degrees.
Courses are taught in a range of subject areas, including: Accounting and Business; Administration and IT; Beauty Therapy; Construction and Construction Crafts; Counselling; Early Education and Child Care; English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL); Enterprise and Employability; Events Management; Hairdressing and Make-Up Artistry; Health and Social Care; Horticulture; Hospitality and Professional Cookery; Human Resource Management; Photography; Social Services and Care; Sport and Fitness; and Travel and Tourism.
Facilities and services
The college has a library and learning centre, cafeteria, coffee bar, shop, social areas with comfortable seating and plasma information screens, a quiet room, on campus parking and a nursery.
There is also an advice centre where students can get guidance and support in a range of areas.
Course training facilities include the Café Bistro, training restaurant and hair and beauty salons.
