This course provides you with a good foundation in both technical and practical aspects of professional photography. You will also have the opportunity to participate in various practical experiences, including Environmental photography and professional studio work. There will be opportunities for working individually but there will also be units where you will work as part of a team. This course requires you to have appropriate equipment.
This course includes units such as: Portraiture; Still Life; Corporate; Various digital units.
You will learn how to set up professional lighting in a studio and how to use industry standard equipment. You will also learn how to use specialist equipment for basic Applied (Forensic) photography.
Units are assessed through practical activities, written and integrated assignments.
1 Higher; or NQ Photography; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Portfolio and interview.
