This course gives you the opportunity to explore the disciplines of Product Design, Ceramics and Glass and Jewellery Design through research, development and innovation in materials and processes.
In Years 1 and 2 you will experience a rich choice of multi-disciplinary ‘designing’ and ‘making’ skills designed to help you fully explore and understand your creative potential. In Year 3, you will move on to refine your design aspirations based on real experience of Product and Craft Design, Ceramics and Glass and in Jewellery Design.
In the beginning of your final year, you will select your degree award title and your final professional body of work with be exhibited at local and national levels during the Gray’s Degree Show in Aberdeen and at New Designers in London.
You can specialise in Product Design, Ceramics and Glass or Jewellery Design.
2021 entry requirements:
3 Highers at BBC (CCC for widening access entry) including English or another English based subject and Art and Design or another art based or technological subject. Interview. Portfolio.
