This course will develop and expand your creative skills, critical aptitude and professional acuity in preparation for your future career. You will explore a range of subjects through the disciplines of Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Photography and Moving Image - investigating the creative application of analogue and digital methodologies as you develop your own visual language.
You will participate in studio-based projects, public exhibitions, work experience and international study options that enables you to specialise in a particular discipline or alternatively adopt a broader multi-disciplinary approach which culminates in our spectacular annual Degree Show. The studio-based course is informed by current contemporary debates including sustainable production, presentation and distribution of Fine Art, and provides the opportunity to develop your own creative voice and visual art practice.
You will benefit from our spacious studios and exceptional workshop facilities for life drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography and advanced digital production including VR technology, 3D printing and laser cutting.
On this course you will participate in a number of competitions, commissions and live projects in partnership with regional art organisations to develop your professional practice in real-world situations and contexts.
