This course provides you with the opportunity to acquire up-to-date fashion and textile skills and knowledge, in order to enhance your professional prospects.

What you will learn

You will learn how to design and produce fashion garments using a range of different materials and techniques, and will be working in a creative environment which closely mirrors industry standards. The topics covered will allow you to develop strong original concepts based on your study of design semantics, surface decoration for textiles, professional design practice and observational drawing. The course also includes a creative project for artists and designers, where you can explore your textile techniques.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers including Art and Design plus English at National 5; or other relevant course at SCQF Level 6. Applicants should show an interest in and aptitude for the subject.

Progression Routes

2nd or 3rd year of a university degree programme. This course is part of our Degree Link programme, meaning that on successful completion of the course you could progress to a related degree at Robert Gordon University.
