Content

This course will enhance production and design skills and develop business skills with a view to a career in the jewellery business.

Content: Advanced Jewellery Design; Manufacturing Techniques; Lost Wax Casting; Pattern Making; Work Placement; 3D Computer Modelling; Advanced Gemmology; Small Business Management.

Entry Requirements

1-2 Highers and/or subjects at National 4 or 5 including English, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Entry by interview. Learners will be required to contribute towards the cost of materials. Mature learners considered on the basis of experience.

Progression Routes

Progression to related degree courses possible. Employment in retail jewellery, manufacturing jewellery and self-employment.
